Each recipient was evaluated and chosen by members of the 1DF Student Advisory Board which includes past scholarship winners. In addition to academic and personal achievements along with financial need, our scholarship winners demonstrate a desire to become positive agents of change in their community.
Each scholarship winner receives a micro-grant to fund outside-the-classroom extras that often go unaccounted for — such as conferences or educational programs related to their field of study and/or exam and application fees and textbooks.
“We know it doesn’t take a lot to make a big impact,” says 1DF founder and CEO Christie Garton. “We are thrilled to add more talented and inspiring girls to our community by investing in their dreams so that they can continue to accomplish big things.”
If you or someone you know may be interested in applying for a 1DF scholarship, applications are now open and will be accepted until April 30, 2019.
Congratulations again to our 2019 scholarship recipients!
