What is your dream as a digital broadcaster?

I want to curate radically kind spaces on Twitch. Community curation is integral to making diversity and inclusion the norm in this space.

How will the BroadcastHER Grant from the 1,000 Dreams Fund help you reach your goals?

Upgrading my PC is going to help me stay competitive in a space where access to tech is imperative.

What does being the recipient of the BroadcastHER Grant mean to you?

Everything. Simply put, this allows me to have an edge with my peers that I wouldn’t otherwise have access to without this fun.

Women are underrepresented in gaming, broadcasting, and e-sports. What can we do to change this?

Keep succeeding. Make sure to put ladders down for others and help create communities for us to thrive in.

What are some of the challenges you have faced along the way?

I am a Black, plus-size woman in this space. Tech is white-oriented and algorithms are made to suppress people like me. I face harassment and death threats, but still I rise.

What advice do you have for women who want to start broadcasting?

Just do it. Nothing will hold you back if this is for you. Lean into your gifts and be your most authentic self. Success will find you.

How do you stay motivated and focused on your goals?

I have a community that likes to dream big for me even when I can’t. They even helped tell me about 1,000 Dreams Fund and this grant!
