Meet Trinity C. (she/her), a New Face of Tech winner who is pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree at the University of Michigan-Dearborn.

What is your dream?

My dream is to inspire other women to pursue their goals in STEM with confidence. As the first in my family to attend college, I have always been determined to take on challenges that push me to grow further as an engineer.

Through hard work and dedication, I believe that we can all overcome any obstacle and achieve what we set out to do. I want to show young girls that no matter the barriers they face, they can break through and make their mark in STEM.

Please share how you feel about the win and what impact it will have on your career.

Winning this scholarship means everything to me and is a reminder that hard work truly pays off. I will now have the opportunity to finish my degree debt-free and fully focus on my studies while pursuing opportunities that bring my dream of working in aerospace one step closer.

What advice do you have for other women reaching for their dreams?

In order to pursue your dreams you need to start now and stop wasting time doubting yourself. It’s easy to feel discouraged, but stay focused on your goals and don’t be afraid to take risks. Even the smallest step forward is progress. Keep believing in yourself and don’t ever let anyone tell you that your dreams are out of reach.
