@TiffanyWitcher, 34 – FUNDED

Voice actor, cosplayer, and charity streamer @TiffanyWitcher who has raised more than $8,000 (and counting!) for various organizations. The BroadcastHER Grant winner is most dedicated to charity streams that support the Lupus Foundation of America — because she has personal experience with the disease.

What is your dream as a digital broadcaster?

I want to raise $20,000 for different charities on Twitch and I want to make a charity-only stream team.

How will the BroadcastHER Grant from the 1,000 Dreams Fund help you reach your goals?

It will help me fix up my computer, get a better camera, and make my stream area more witch-like with my theme.

What does being the recipient of the BroadcastHER Grant mean to you?

It means a lot because charity streaming is what I want to do on Twitch. Having this grant improves my quality for my audience and helps me raise more money for great causes.

Women are underrepresented in gaming, broadcasting, and e-sports. What can we do to change this?

Make our voices heard wherever we can. I think now is a great time for women to speak loud and proud for equality with gaming and things relating to it.

What are some of the challenges you have faced along the way?

As a Black woman, it’s harder for me to get noticed — especially being LGBT, as well. I get a lot of negativity due to that. Still, I keep going.

What advice do you have for women who want to start broadcasting?

Don’t give up, and no matter who says you can’t do it, don’t listen to them. You know your worth and your worth is what matters.

How do you stay motivated and focused on your goals?

My mother…  she did a lot of charity work and I do this in her memory. She motivates me —even now that she’s gone — to keep helping other people.
