Meet Tandis A. (she/her), a New Face of Tech winner who is studying mechanical engineering at Northwest Vista College.

What is your dream?

My dream is to inspire and encourage women to follow their dreams and things that interest them. To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment and women are discouraged from pursuing STEM careers consistently.

Please share how you feel about the win and what impact it will have on your career.

I feel very honored to win this scholarship. It will greatly improve my academic experience this school year, helping me out both with academic supplies and the cost of living.

What advice do you have for other women reaching for their dreams?

The most important advice I have for women reaching for their dreams is to never give up for any reason. Drive yourself to turn everything that discourages you into motivation to achieve your dreams and inspire other women to do the same.
