Meet Rosemary E. (she/her), a New Face of Tech winner who is studying environmental studies at Kentucky State University.

What is your dream?

My long-term goal is to become a researcher and global consultant in the livestock industry, where I aim to use technology to improve food security, biosecurity on farms, animal health, welfare, and the efficiency of farm equipment.

Please share how you feel about the win and what impact it will have on your career.

I am honored. This is a great opportunity because it will help me achieve my goals by translating my academic work into real-world settings as I bring innovations into the livestock industry in the United States and beyond

What advice do you have for other women reaching for their dreams?

My advice to other women is, firstly, to be true to yourself, know what you want, and stay focused on achieving your goals. Giving up should never be an option. Do everything possible (I mean legally and with dignity) to become independent and build the life you desire.

Chase your dreams with confidence, ask questions, seek guidance, and never allow side talks or people’s opinions to stop you from being a goal-getter. Stay resilient, believe in your potential, and keep moving forward no matter the obstacles that come your way.
