Reilly Love, 37 – FUNDED

Reilly Love knows it’s all about being teammates and holding doors open for one another in this industry. This Paliwal Club of 100 Music Scholar is attending the Berklee College of Music in Boston and majoring in Music Production.

What is your professional dream?

I would like to be a producer and own a commercial studio one day.

What does being in the Paliwal Club of 100 mean to you?

I think that it’s an amazing honor to be included in this group of women helping and empowering women.

Women are underrepresented in the S.T.E.A.M. (science, tech, arts or math) fields and music industry. How can we change this?

I think that this organization is a great start! We need to encourage and hold doors open for one another. We need to continue to think of ourselves as teammates in our fields instead of competition, and champion one another.

What are some of the challenges you have faced along the way?

People don’t often take me seriously, which means I need to be thoroughly knowledgable so I don’t get dismissed. I’ve had to learn to get over being polite to make my voice heard.

How will this grant from the 1,000 Dreams Fund help you reach your goals?

It’s going to go straight toward building out my home studio and getting the software I need to become a competitive, professional producer.
