@ravenclaw0044, 32 – FUNDED

Aside from @ravenclaw0044’s obsession with Harry Potter (if you couldn’t already tell by her name!), she’s a self-proclaimed nerd and a coffee addict. But, this BroadcastHER Grant winner is also a huge mental health advocate. As someone who suffers from anxiety and depression daily, she knows firsthand how difficult it can be and she wants to be there to remind people they aren’t alone. At the end of the day, she just wants to make people smile!

What is your dream as a digital broadcaster?

My dream is to make a difference; to bring awareness to mental health; and to use my voice to inspire others to do the same.

How will the BroadcastHER Grant from the 1,000 Dreams Fund help you reach your goals?

This grant is going to help me upgrade my computer and help me continue my journey. I hope to be able to make a difference in the gaming community and to participate in more charities.

What does being the recipient of the BroadcastHER Grant mean to you?

It means the world to me. I’m extremely honored to have even been considered. There are so many inspiring recipients of this award — and to be among them, I don’t have words.

Women are underrepresented in gaming, broadcasting, and e-sports. What can we do to change this?

Work together. Inspire. There are so many of us. We need to lift each other up. Cheer each other on… empowered women empowering women!

What are some of the challenges you have faced along the way?

Truthfully, there has been a lot of harassment. I think that’s a given, sadly. But I push forward. I’m grateful for having an amazing community that pushes me to always keep improving.

What advice do you have for women who want to start broadcasting?

Be yourself. Be 100% your authentic self.

How do you stay motivated and focused on your goals?

Others are my inspiration. Seeing them not give up; their confidence — that’s my motivation.
