Oluyemisi A., 30 – FUNDED

Meet Oluyemisi A. (she/her), a Colgate-Palmolive Scholar who is studying Nutrition Sciences at Utah State University.
What is your dream?
My dream is to become a nutrition policy consultant — someone who bridges the gap between research and actionable policies to improve public health outcomes. I envision a career where my work in nutrition science, food environments, and food security translates into impactful policies that address disparities in food access and promote healthier communities to ensure equitable access to nutritious food for all.
As a nutrition policy consultant, I want to collaborate with policymakers, researchers, and community stakeholders to design evidence-based interventions. Whether it is improving nutrition programs, advocating for healthier food landscapes, or developing strategies to combat nutrition-related chronic diseases, I aspire to create solutions that are both sustainable and impactful.
Please share how you feel about the win and what impact it will have on your career.
I feel honored by this win. This achievement fuels my commitment to making a meaningful impact in the field of nutrition and policy, bringing me one step closer to transforming research into actionable solutions for healthier communities.
