@Maggiefps, 26 – FUNDED

Based in Zagreb, Croatia, @Maggiefps mostly plays Rainbow Six Siege. But this BroadcastHER Grant winner loves any kind of FPS games.

What is your dream as a digital broadcaster?

I would love to help younger generations of girls build a strong mentality to fight off all hate.

How will your award from the 1,000 Dreams Fund help you reach your goals?

I’ll level up my PC equipment for better and more regular streams.

What does being a recipient mean to you?

Everybody deserves a chance to improve the world we live in. Receiving this prize is one big push toward my goal of helping others.

Women are underrepresented in gaming, broadcasting, and e-sports. What can we do to change this?

I personally want to change it by making women’s mentalities stronger and more ready to fight it all together.

What are some of the challenges you have faced along the way?

I’ve been in the Siege competitive scene for a long time but finding a team as a female is impossible. Guys feel uncomfortable — even if you are the best player in the world. Playing the game is also impossible because you get insulted as soon as you speak.

What advice do you have for women who want to start broadcasting?

Stay strong and don’t go against each other. Build up together instead of trash-talking other females.

How do you stay motivated and focused on your goals?

Surrounding yourself with people who support you in any way and in whatever you do is the way. Ignore all haters — just make them angrier with your success.
