@MadBunnie, 23 – FUNDED

Variety is the spice of life with Alejandra Juarez — @MadBunnie on Twitch. The BroadcastHER Grant recipient is interested in far more than just gaming for her digital platform. She also wants to eventually stream such things as baking, city tours, and fun things to do. It’s all about individuality for her, and that’s something she would encourage for all her fellow streamers.

What is your dream as a digital broadcaster?

My dream is to encourage others to follow their own dreams and to be themselves.

How will the BroadcastHER Grant from the 1,000 Dreams Fund help you reach your goals?

It will help me better my stream and build my PC!

What does being the recipient of the BroadcastHER Grant mean to you?

It means the world to me and it makes me believe that I can achieve my goals.

Women are underrepresented in gaming, broadcasting, and e-sports. What can we do to change this?

We need to encourage each other and remind each other that we can make it together.

What are some of the challenges you have faced along the way?

I didn’t have a job for awhile and that was hard. Balancing work, school, and streaming can also be a challenge.

What advice do you have for women who want to start broadcasting?

Be yourself! Don’t let others tell you what to do, what to wear, or what to play! You don’t even have to stream games; you can stream makeup tutorials, baking lessons, music covers, or just draw. Do what you dream of doing and don’t let anyone else tell you how to dream.

How do you stay motivated and focused on your goals?

I have a great support system and a piggy bank with a Twitch logo on it to remind me that every penny counts.
