Variety streamer LoveBubbles loves a good scary game that may just give her nightmares. But, she plays a lot of Apex Legends, too. This BroadcastHER Academy winner can always be counted on for laughter and good times on her stream while motivating others toward their dreams.

What is your dream in esports and gaming?

I want to play professionally and be a beacon of light to other POC and women, in general, to show that we can also play professionally.

What does being the BroadcastHER Academy winner, which includes a $1,000 grant and all-expense-paid visit to the HyperX Esports Arena to shadow, mean to you and how will it help you reach your goals?

It will be an amazing experience to network with other women and to visually see what I want. Being able to play competitively in an arena like HyperX is honestly a dream. And I think that seeing it will give me a bigger push to keep going for what I want in esports.

Women are underrepresented in gaming, broadcasting, and esports. What can we do to change this?

We can showcase women in the space and show people that we equally belong in gaming — not just by talking about it, but also by showing it through women-led tournaments and more.

What are you most inspired by when it comes to creating encouraging content for young women in gaming, broadcasting, and esports?

I’m inspired by other women I see in this space like Ninjayla and Jay-Ann Lopez, the founder of Black Girl Gamers. Because of Black Girl Gamers, I’ve met so many amazing women — all of whom inspire me and motivate me to be the best version of myself. I’ve had access to help and knowledge that has helped me in content creation because of them.

What are some of the challenges you have faced along the way?

I have faced racism along with ignorance when it comes to women in gaming.

What advice do you have for women who want to start broadcasting?

There isn’t a perfect time to start creating content in this space. If you want to start creating content for whatever reason, do it! I, along with others in the community, would love to support you and we believe in you and everything you can and will accomplish. Don’t let others’ negativity and ignorance persuade you from your dreams. Use it as motivation.

How do you stay motivated and focused on your goals?

Looking at how far I’ve come keeps me motivated toward my goals. I was once a young girl playing on a laptop and barely able to stream my content. Now I have a full PC setup and friends who encourage each other to reach for the stars.
