The BroadcastHER Grant winner plays a lot of different games, including Dead by Daylight, Fortnite, and The Sims along with other TTRPGs and horror genres.

What is your dream as a digital broadcaster?

I want to make content full time — content that fosters a community and supports and uplifts other marginalized individuals.

How will your award from the 1,000 Dreams Fund help you reach your goals?

This award will help me upgrade my equipment so that I can make better-quality content that reflects my vision for content creation.

What does being a recipient mean to you?

This opportunity means so much to me because the goals I have would take much longer to realize without this grant. Especially as a disabled, queer, BIMPOC creator, there are often so many barriers in our way when trying to make content. Knowing this grant will help lessen those barriers is something I’m beyond grateful for.

Women are underrepresented in gaming, broadcasting, and e-sports. What can we do to change this?

Listen to us, all of us. Be constantly willing to readjust that lens and make an effort to truly support and encompass all of the different factors of being a woman/nonbinary/femme-presenting in this space. Continue to give opportunities that uplift us, and that help further our careers in these spaces.

What are some of the challenges you have faced along the way?

Racism, sexism, bigotry, ableism… you name it. Being in the intersectionality of multiple identities often means facing these things within content creation.

What advice do you have for women who want to start broadcasting?

Do what makes you happy. I know there can be so much “noise” when it comes to starting to stream and its often hard to sift through what is helpful and what is not. Remember that if it’s functional and helpful to you and if it brings you joy, then that’s enough.

How do you stay motivated and focused on your goals?

Woo… that’s a hard one. I like to visualize my short- and long-term goals through vision boards. But I also have a great support system of fellow creators that really help to keep each other motivated and supported through our goal reaching.
