Meet Lauren F. (she/her), a New Face of Tech winner who is pursuing a degree in health sciences at Spelman College.

What is your dream?

My dream is to become a dermatologist who leverages technology to revolutionize access to medical care in underserved communities. I envision establishing my own dermatology practice, where innovative telemedicine platforms and cutting-edge treatments bring quality care to patients who need it most. Beyond clinical work, I am passionate about mentoring the next generation of dermatologists, guiding aspiring students on their journey into this dynamic and impactful field.

I also aim to continue serving through my Community Service Academy, instilling a spirit of giving in younger generations while addressing critical needs in the community. One of my greatest aspirations is to provide scholarships for students attending HBCUs who are pursuing STEM degrees, empowering them to achieve their goals and contribute to advancing science, technology, and medicine.

Through my practice, mentorship, and commitment to community service, I hope to create a legacy of innovation, accessibility, and opportunity in dermatology and beyond.

What advice do you have for other women reaching for their dreams?

Stay focused on your goals, remain confident in your abilities, and don’t let fear of failure hold you back. Seek out mentors, lift others as you climb, and remember that persistence and self-belief are the keys to turning dreams into reality.
