School:  Paseo Academy

Dream College: Kansas State University

Future Plans: Owning a Business

Do you know what you’d like to major in or have a career in? If so, what is it?

I would like to major in Business, but also explore other majors.

What is something you are most proud of?

I’m proud to be alive, making good grades and exploring majors at my school. I’m also proud of being a little sister to Kate and a big sister to my siblings.

Have you gone through any tough or challenging times and how did you deal with those times?

I had hard times with a lot of school work, I would take a deep breath and listen to some music and start back on my work.

What does it mean to you to be selected as a Girl on the Rise?

It means a lot to me knowing that I was selected out of a lot of other girls and that I will be getting to experience this opportunity.

What inspired you to want to be involved with Girls on the Rise?

When my mom told me about the program it sounded like something I would want to get into because I want to go to college, but don’t have many opportunities to travel to see colleges out of state and this will help do that.

How will funding from the 1,000 Dreams Fund help you reach your goals? In other words: Why is the opportunity to visit your prospective colleges important to your journey?

It is important because I will get to go to colleges out of state and without this opportunity I would not be able to do that.

What schools will you use the funding to visit, and why?

University of Nebraska, Kansas State University and many more because I have always wanted to go to these colleges.
