@kellydanielle, 32 – FUNDED

@kellydanielle will tell you that she’s a “friendly vintage enthusiast and eclectic witch/magical girl who can’t keep plants alive.” The BroadcastHER Grant winner is also a Fallout 76 broadcaster who mixes in Animal Crossing, Dark Souls 3, and Dead by Daylight. She loves to try out new games and meet new people!

What is your dream as a digital broadcaster?

My dream goal is to become a voice actor. I would love to be an NPC (non-playing character) in a Bethesda game, as Fallout 4 and Skyrim helped me find a love for broadcasting.

How will the BroadcastHER Grant from the 1,000 Dreams Fund help you reach your goals?

It’s supporting my work towards becoming a voice actor by helping me pay for Adobe Audition, which allows me to cut and format audio. It is also helping me upgrade my webcam for streaming.

What does being the recipient of the BroadcastHER Grant mean to you?

It’s incredible! I’m humbled and honored to be among so many inspiring women.

Women are underrepresented in gaming, broadcasting, and e-sports. What can we do to change this?

We must continue striving for equality and creating opportunities and safe spaces for women.

What are some of the challenges you have faced along the way?

One of the biggest challenges — at least the one that stands out the most — is being laid off from my corporate job a few years back. Deciding to do something creative full time — and not having a “day job” — was really tough.

What advice do you have for women who want to start broadcasting?

If you have a dream, don’t give up. It is never too late to do something you’re passionate about.

How do you stay motivated and focused on your goals?

My fiancé is the best partner and person to bounce ideas off of. Also, the stream team I’m on — Team Kitty — is a sisterhood and keeps me inspired. They are the nicest people who I can brainstorm with.
