What is your dream in gaming, esports, and/or content creation?

I believe in the power of an online presence. My passion is food, food safety and preservation. Cooking shows on TV no longer teach someone how to cook. I do!

My dream is to reach a greater audience showing them joy of preparing a meal from a grilled cheese to a Beef Wellington. There is wonder in taking raw ingredients and putting them together into a meal and sharing food others. Whether it’s family, friends, or even co-workers. Food brings together. I have a tattoo on my arm that is my slogan “Food Creates the Memories that Feed Us.” I would love to share in your food journey.

Please share how winning support from 1,000 Dreams Fund is important to your dream and what impact it will have on your career?

Receiving this grant has taken a large burden off my shoulders. Funds are tight for everyone right now and food costs alone have gone up 26% in the last few years — and worrying about costs can greatly damper or halt opportunities, such as going to TwitchCon. Being able to attend and now having my full focus on making connections and learning new things is so exciting and such a wonderful opportunity!

What advice do you have for women & femmes who want to work in gaming, esports, and/or content creation?

Do not allow anyone to tell you that you cannot do this — or shouldn’t do this. Remember why you started thinking about streaming in the first place. Do you have a story to share, something you’re passionate about, or just want to see what it’s like? There are trolls, yes, but never allow that fear to stop you from challenging yourself! They are nothing, but you… you are there to uplift, provide entertainment, inspire others, and so much more. Streaming is a wonderful experience and, because of it, I have met some incredible people and I am so grateful for that. If I can be help to a new streamer, my DM’s are open.
