What is your dream in gaming, esports, and/or content creation?

In my application, I mentioned that I would like to have a brick and mortar location to teach others the discipline of costume design, 3D printing/modeling, and special effects makeup. This space would also function as a maker space, so fellow creatives can come and work on their projects in an affordable, enriching, and inspiring environment.

Please share how winning support from 1,000 Dreams Fund is important to your dream and what impact it will have on your career?

The support impacts my career because it allows me to continue to network with others in person, gaining insight, feedback and other constructive information that continues to help shape my creative journey. This also grants me access to opportunities otherwise not available from home. While I believe that some opportunities do come to you, I also believe that you sometimes have to go to where the opportunities are.

What advice do you have for women & femmes who want to work in gaming, esports, and/or content creation?

When working in this space, if something doesn’t feel right, if you don’t agree with something, if it goes against your morals, you don’t have to compromise. Have fun, most importantly, and be open to learning different ways of accomplishing things. However, also be sure to surround yourself with people who will not only encourage you, but also hold you accountable and give you constructive feedback when you need it.
