What is your dream in gaming, esports, and/or content creation?

My dream is to remind others that they are “more than their tasks” and continue enjoying content creation full-time. In my past, I’ve prioritized my work life above my hobbies. It took a long time to realize that I am more than what I produce and that I shouldn’t let go of things that bring me joy.

I reconnected with so many hobbies I adored in my childhood and began streaming on Twitch. When the time came for graduate school, I made an effort to balance work and play, so I started something new — coworking! As a founder of the Coworking & Coding Creator Club on Twitch, I hope to represent the students, workers, or anyone who doesn’t want to be defined solely by their responsibilities.

Life is about doing so much more than just work, so I love sharing my study spaces and also hosting streams for fun (e.g., escaping into fantasy RPGs, nostalgic favorites, and more), so that we can build community and create a wide variety of positive memories.

Additionally, as a Queer Latina, I intentionally craft spaces that amplify and support those who are systematically marginalized (e.g., LGBTQIA2S+, BIPOC, etc.). I hope that I can continue making a difference in seeing Twitch and other platforms become more inclusive and supportive towards these groups that I am a part of and love so dearly as I pursue my dreams.

Please share how winning support from 1,000 Dreams Fund is important to your dream and what impact it will have on your career?

Receiving this grant will allow me to attend TwitchCon San Diego 2025 and set aside funds for urgent PC upgrades! This past year has been a roller coaster as I lost my university funding early and had to complete my master’s thesis unpaid over a period of several months, which put me into full-time content creation sooner than I had anticipated. Although embracing content creation had been my goal upon graduating, this was not the journey I had visualized!

Being a recipient of this award truly allows me to feel as though I can start fresh and on the right foot. I’m excited to be able to celebrate my accomplishments at TwitchCon as a founder of the Coworking & Coding Creator Club, network with brands, and meet my fellow creators both new and old! In addition, I’m excited to finally resolve technical issues, so that I can provide smoother and higher quality streams. Overall, both fuel my drive and capacity to embrace my dream of entertaining being my day job!

What advice do you have for women & femmes who want to work in gaming, esports, and/or content creation?

Never let anyone else define you! I’ve often felt out of place in women- and femme-led spaces as someone who is still uncovering their genderfluid-ness and loves androgynous fashion.

No matter who you are, stay true to who you are and how you express yourself.

I love reminding everyone that you are woman enough because I haven’t always felt that way. It isn’t about how others expect us to present ourselves or behave in the real world or online, it is all about you. So… own your accomplishments — small and large — acknowledge your work, stay creative, and most importantly, love yourself and what you choose to create!
