@HelloDare will tell you that she’s a professional at being awkward and making bad jokes. But, this BroadcastHER Grant winner is pretty good at playing games, too. She has been doing it since she was 5! Her favorites of the moment include: Tomb Raider Underworld, Grand Theft Auto V, Red Dead Redemption, and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Her stream is all about positive energy and having fun.

What is your dream as a digital broadcaster?

My dream is to build a community that welcomes all and is a safe place to be yourself; a place where people can escape from the world for a bit and have a little corner of the internet to call home.

How will the BroadcastHER Grant from the 1,000 Dreams Fund help you reach your goals?

I will be able to stream more frequently and have the opportunity to play more games without issues, as I’ll be able to get a PC I can rely on.

What does being the recipient of the BroadcastHER Grant mean to you?

It means so much to me to be a part of a legendary group of womxn who inspire me. I’m honored to be given the grant and I hope I can be the one to inspire others to know they can do anything!

Women are underrepresented in gaming, broadcasting, and e-sports. What can we do to change this?

We can continue to strive for better representation by creating programs like this and encouraging women to follow their dreams. The more women keep putting themselves out there, the more we will be seen and taken seriously in this industry because we are a force to be reckoned with.

What are some of the challenges you have faced along the way?

I have faced a lot of harassment as a woman in the industry — especially since I started Call of Duty. It’s an unfortunate thing that still happens, even in 2021, but knowing that it’s the other person and not you helps get through those challenges.

What advice do you have for women who want to start broadcasting?

Do what you love! Whether it’s gaming, cooking, just chatting, or art, do what makes you, you! When people see that you’re doing something you love and that you’re passionate about it, you will grow an audience. Some days you will be discouraged, but you will achieve your goals as long as you put the work in!

How do you stay motivated and focused on your goals?

I remind myself that if you work hard and believe in yourself you can achieve anything. I don’t give up no matter what obstacles come my way.
