Glory O., 30 – FUNDED

Glory O. couldn’t be more grateful to be among the group of New Face of Tech winners. She’s studying health sciences at East Tennessee State University, and this is a nod of encouragement to keep pursuing her goals in healthcare research.
What does being the New Face of Tech mean to you?
This encourages me to pursue my career!
Women are underrepresented in STEAM. How can we change this?
I used to be a mentor, so I know the importance of having mentors for younger girls.
What are some of the challenges you have faced along the way?
Lack of funding for educational expenses and a difficult job market have both been pretty significant challenges for me.
How do you stay motivated and focused on your goals?
I’m passionate and I love what I do!
How will funding from the 1,000 Dreams Fund and HARMAN help you reach your goals?
My goal is to provide quality care and design tools for care coordination that allow for organized care and evidence-informed decision-making, which will lead to expansive improvements in integrated health information.
