Meet girlhero (she/her).

What is your dream in gaming, esports, and/or content creation?

My dream in content creation is to push the limits and show what women/creators can do! I want to keep making creative assets to get others started in content creation, so I have a small online shop with free creative assets to get others started to kickstart their dreams. I love to share tips and hopefully inspire others to try something new in the creative world. I’ve been doing content creation since 2011 — and my dream is to help others out as best as I can.

Please share how winning support from 1,000 Dreams Fund is important to your dream and what impact it will have on your career?

After being in the Twitch Women’s Guild and hearing about the 1,000 Dreams Fund, it has opened many new opportunities for me. Winning this grant now allows me to 100% attend TwitchCon and be able to participate in the panels I will be in with a few other Twitch Women Guild members. This is a new opportunity that I haven’t done before — and I am beyond excited to share the experience with other amazing creators and talk about content that drives us.

What advice do you have for women & femmes who want to work in gaming, esports, and/or content creation?

Always go for it! Even if you are scared to try, take the leap and go for it.

There are so many creators out there, but your space will be your own in the gaming/esports/content creation world. It’s so worth it to see your space grow and reach others! Content creation and working in the gaming space is a lot of hard work, but it’s amazing and rewarding to look back at what you’ve done and stamped into the gaming space <3 Enjoy the ride!
