Faith P., 30 – FUNDED

In 2022, Faith P. graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Sound and Recording Arts from the University of Southern Mississippi — and this Paliwal Club of 100 Music Scholar is now pursuing her master’s at Berklee College of Music. Once she graduates, she looks forward to living in Los Angeles and forging a lifelong career in music!

What is your professional dream?

In the future, I envision myself forging a lasting career in the music industry by exploring various opportunities in audio, radio, mix to picture, etc.

What does being in the Paliwal Club of 100 mean to you?

It is a special honor to be recognized by the Paliwal Club of 100 for my commitment to academia.

Women are underrepresented in the S.T.E.A.M. (science, tech, arts or math) fields and music industry. How can we change this?

Mentorship with other female leaders in the music industry is especially important for women in male-dominated fields.

What are some of the challenges you have faced along the way?

My biggest challenge in continuing my education was returning to college as an adult student. However, my life experience gave me a unique perspective and greater determination to achieve my goals.

How will this grant from the 1,000 Dreams Fund help you reach your goals?

The 1,000 Dreams Fund has given me the invaluable opportunity to further my graduate education.
