Meet Esnueil (she/her), a BroadcastHER Grant winner.
What is your dream in gaming, esports, and/or content creation?
I want to create inclusive spaces where people like me — Black, queer, neurodivergent folks — can just exist fully, wonderfully, and beautifully. On my Twitch channel, I read bedtime stories for insomniacs, we’re growing a community garden together (I killed all the plants 🥹 so trying once again), and we play calming games that actually include us.
I realized we need more spaces that aren’t about grinding or competing, but about finding peace, investing in ourselves, and finding gentleness within because we deserve it. I’m also working on Rainbow Tech Fest, a Pride Month hackathon that’s more about learning and supporting each other than competing.
Basically, I want to make content that helps people pause and reset when their humanity doesn’t get the grace it deserves and everything else feels overwhelming.
Please share how winning support from 1,000 Dreams Fund is important to your dream and what impact it will have on your career?
This support from 1,000 Dreams Fund is transformative — it provides the foundation to officially establish my business and protect the inclusive content and tools I’m creating. As someone currently rebuilding, this grant provides the stability to legally operate and access the creative tools needed for me to be able to complete and release tools that empower.
It means I can focus on building inclusive experiences rather than worrying about basic infrastructure costs.
This support validates that gentle, healing-centered content has value in our industry and empowers me to redirect my limited resources toward skill development and mental health while continuing to create. Most importantly, it allows me to prove that there’s space in gaming and content creation for approaches that prioritize collective rest and authentic community care.
What advice do you have for women & femmes who want to work in gaming, esports, and/or content creation?
Your gentleness is revolutionary in an industry that profits from burnout. There’s no timeline you’re supposed to follow — starting at 23 or 33 or 53, you’re not behind. Every pivot, every break, every restart is adding to your story, not subtracting from it.
Create what you wish existed, be what you do not see, don’t let that absence deter you from taking up space. If you need cozy spaces, sleep stories, community gardens, gentle content — make it. Someone else needs it, too. Document your journey and protect your work with proper business structure early. It’s not pessimistic, it’s self-care.
Find the people who celebrate you brushing your teeth on a hard day, who understand when you need to stream from bed. Those are your people. Your unique corner of the internet might be exactly where someone finds hope. The beautiful life you’re building is already inspiring others to build theirs.
