My dream is to change the food processing industry. My goal is to develop healthier and more affordable food products by reducing unnecessary chemicals and additives commonly found in processed foods. Many additives are included only to extend shelf life or improve appearance, even when they may not provide nutritional value. I want to help create solutions that maintain affordability while improving food quality and public health.

First off, I feel incredibly honored to be selected for this scholarship, and I truly appreciate 1,000 Dreams Fund for picking me as a recipient.

A scholarship is a vote of confidence in your abilities and future success. Receiving this scholarship reminds me that people believe in me and want to support my dreams. I am so grateful that people want to invest in me.

Receiving this scholarship will help expand my knowledge within my field of study. I am not only able to learn something new, but I get to be in a new place doing it. I can now focus on just my studies and not the additional expenses I will encounter while abroad.

My advice for other women reaching for their dreams is to remember that all you need is one “yes.” It may feel impossible at times, especially when the people around you aren’t encouraging or supporting your vision. But don’t stop. That one “yes” can outweigh every “no” you’ve heard along the way.

Your dream belongs to you. You are the one in control of it—not anyone else. Don’t let other people’s doubts or opinions convince you to give up. Sometimes, you’re simply sharing your dream with the wrong people. Keep believing in yourself, keep showing up, and keep reaching out. The right opportunity and the right people will come.

My name is Danielle Z., and I am a chemical engineering student at the University of Texas at Austin. I am incredibly honored and grateful to have been selected as a recipient of the Bold Futures Scholarship. Winning this scholarship means so much to me because I know firsthand how life-changing financial support for education can be.

Throughout high school, I worked continuously while balancing my studies to save enough money for college. Even then, paying for my education felt overwhelming, and many opportunities seemed out of reach.

Receiving the Bold Futures Scholarship has not only eased that financial burden but has also made one of my biggest dreams possible: studying abroad. I never imagined I would have the opportunity to study in another country because I was focused on simply being able to afford college. This scholarship has helped bridge that gap and opened a door I once thought was impossible to walk through.

More than anything, this experience has reminded me that there are people who genuinely believe in investing in students and helping them achieve their goals. I am deeply thankful for that support and excited to make the most of this opportunity.
