@Corine, 22 – FUNDED

Hannah, who goes by @Corine on Twitch, has a dog named Archie and a hedgehog named Bee — and sometimes they even appear on her stream! That is, when the BroadcastHER Grant isn’t playing her favorite horror games or practicing the piano with electronic or melodic music in the background.

What is your dream as a digital broadcaster?

My dream is to have a nice environment that is uplifting and brightens people’s days.

How will the BroadcastHER Grant from the 1,000 Dreams Fund help you reach your goals?

The BroadcastHER Grant will help me reach my goals by helping me improve my setup to stream better, stream for longer periods of time, and play new games.

What does being the recipient of the BroadcastHER Grant mean to you?

It means the world to me. I love everything BroadcastHER stands for. Being the recipient of the grant means that there’s a place for women in gaming and I’m happy to be a part of that right now.

Women are underrepresented in gaming, broadcasting, and e-sports. What can we do to change this?

We can continue to help our fellow women in gaming, broadcasting, and esports. We can uplift them and inspire one another to keep moving forward.

What are some of the challenges you have faced along the way?

I’ve faced many challenges, family problems, relationship issues, people following me at events, and more. Being a woman online isn’t always safe or fun.

What advice do you have for women who want to start broadcasting?

Don’t let anyone walk on you. Don’t let anyone try to tell you what you’re worth — you have to know your worth. Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do something. Stand up for yourself and believe in yourself. Our time as women in the broadcasting space is now.

How do you stay motivated and focused on your goals?

I stay motivated and focused on my goals by seriously taking care of my mental health. It makes a huge difference in staying clearheaded and focused on what I want out of life.
