What is your dream in gaming and/or esports?

My dream is to increase people’s serotonin levels and spread genuine love and laughter.

How will this award from the 1,000 Dreams Fund help you reach your goals?

This award will help my streams and content be higher quality and more professional, as technology is constantly improving and evolving.

What does being a 1,000 Dreams Fund – JBL Quantum Grant recipient mean to you?

This means the world to me because it means that others see my potential and the positive influence I can help make in this space. I feel empowered as an up-and-coming creator in this industry.

Women are underrepresented in gaming and esports. What can we do to change this?

We can continue creating our own spaces — encouraging one another and providing more opportunities for marginalized individuals.

What are some of the challenges you have faced along the way?

It has been challenging to realize that I DO belong in this space and that there is room for me to succeed, too. As a Black woman, I recognize that I have to work 10 times harder to make it in this industry.

What advice do you have for women who want to work in the gaming or esports industry?

Start broadcasting for the right reason and have pure intentions as this will take you far. Remember it is about the journey, not the destination. We are all on our own paths, so give yourself some grace.

How do you stay motivated and focused on your goals?

Remember why you started and create a schedule for yourself — if that’s what works for you. You do NOT have to stream five times a week. Instead, try diversifying your content across multiple platforms and repurposing your content to avoid burnout.
