Casey Rose C., 20 – FUNDED

Meet Casey Rose C. (she/her), a Paliwal Club of 100 Music Scholar who is studying dance and musical theater at Point Park University.

What is your dream?

My dream is to connect with others and bring joy to all who I encounter. I truly believe that I have unique gifts and abilities that I must honor by continually working to improve upon. These gifts and unique skills are the vessel in which I will use to connect with and bring joy to others. Supporting, entertaining, loving, and sharing are all things I am able to do when I tap into these passions I have and the abilities I possess.

Please share how you feel about the win and what impact it will have on your career.

“The best way to show our gratitude to God and to people is to accept with joy.”

I can’t begin to express the joy I feel and my sincere gratitude for this grant and how it will impact my career. As a dance major with a musical theater minor, battling a spinal injury, I have been searching for more ways to improve my musical artistry. This grant has allowed me to take private voice lessons and keep working towards my artistic education this year.

What advice do you have for other women reaching for their dreams?

My advice to women reaching for their dreams would be to never let anyone tell you that you can’t. If you are reaching for your passions, don’t take “no” for an answer. If you have the right work ethic and you are willing to do the hard things, someone telling you “no” is just an obstacle. Find the right people and the right place that will support and lift you up when you are reaching high.
