What is your dream as a digital broadcaster?

I want to become a full-time streamer.

How will the BroadcastHER Grant from the 1,000 Dreams Fund help you reach your goals?

The grant will help me by introducing me to another community of streamers and by helping me have funds to buy a microphone and build a PC of my own.

What does being the recipient of the BroadcastHER Grant mean to you?

Being the recipient of the BroadcastHER Grant means that I’ve come so far in reaching my goals. It means that I’m getting somewhere in broadcasting and that, although there’s still so far to go, I can make it.

Women are underrepresented in gaming, broadcasting, and e-sports. What can we do to change this?

To change the underrepresentation of women in gaming, we need to change our attitudes on women playing games. People don’t normally expect women to play games, and this attitude stops many women from even trying to be a part of this industry.

What are some of the challenges you have faced along the way?

Along the way, I have faced challenges financially and with my community, as well. Streaming online as a female comes with the challenges of being judged based on looks and people making comments based on those looks.

What advice do you have for women who want to start broadcasting?

For women who are taking a step into broadcasting, I recommend being ready for hate and negativity but also being motivated by the people who decide to support them and their stream.

How do you stay motivated and focused on your goals?

In order for me to stay motivated and focused on my goals, I try to have a positive outlook on what lies ahead. I focus on expecting good things to happen and that keeps me motivated to continue forward.
