Anshika P., 21 – FUNDED

Meet Anshika P. (she/her), a New Face of Tech winner who is pursuing a Mathematics major with a Data Science and Education Policy minor at Washington and Lee University.

What is your dream?

My dream is to be the voice for thousands of girls who come from backgrounds like mine; girls who face the same struggles, share the same dreams, and often feel unheard. I want to represent their hopes to the world, amplify their stories, and guide them to achieve their goals.

I aim to show them that their circumstances do not define their potential and that with determination, resilience, and the right opportunities, they can overcome any barrier. My journey is not just about personal success; it’s about paving the way for others to rise, thrive, and claim the futures they deserve.

Please share how you feel about the win and what impact it will have on your career.

This grant is more than a win for me, it’s a promise to the girls I represent that their dreams are possible, and I’m here to help them reach them.

To every low-income, first-generation girl out there: You have the power and the zeal to reach your milestones. The path may be tough, and there will be moments when giving up feels easier. But please, don’t. Believe in yourself, even when it feels like no one else does, because you are capable of so much more than you realize.

What advice do you have for other women reaching for their dreams?

Never underestimate the value of small steps. Celebrate every milestone — no matter how insignificant it may seem — because progress is progress. Surround yourself with people who uplift and inspire you, and don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it.

Remember that failure is not the end but a stepping stone to growth. Your dreams are valid, your voice matters, and your resilience will carry you through. Keep pushing forward-you’re stronger than any obstacle in your way.
