Meet AnnieMayPlay (she/her).

What is your dream in gaming, esports, and/or content creation?

My dream is to use VTubing and streaming to entertain people and, most importantly, to encourage them to be their most authentic selves. As a transgender woman, there is nothing I want to see more than people able to express themselves as they feel.

Please share how winning support from 1,000 Dreams Fund is important to your dream and what impact it will have on your career?

It allows me to better realize the vision I have for my stream and my VTuber persona. VTubing can be an expensive medium to break into as a streamer and this grant will allow me to purchase assets related to my model and help me have a unified branding across my entire stream content.

What advice do you have for women & femmes who want to work in gaming, esports, and/or content creation?

While it will often seem like there are people who want you to struggle, there will always be more people out there who are committed to the idea of you succeeding — and you will find those people. They will help lift you up to places and milestones you never thought you could reach before, and they will be the reason you can keep going. So always remember that they are out there for you.
