Meet Anna S. (she/her), a New Face of Tech winner who is studying film and television at Savannah College of Art and Design.

What is your dream?

My dream is to work in the film industry. While I am majoring in film and television, I am also minoring in producing. I hope that eventually I could possibly work on some really big blockbuster films and even pitch my own ideas for stories. In the end, after I have gained experience, it would be a dream come true to direct an Oscar-winning film!

Please share how you feel about the win and what impact it will have on your career.

After winning this scholarship, it makes me feel confident in myself that I can use my story to impact others and hopefully encourage other women to pursue the career goal of their dreams. Literally speaking, this money will help me pay for school so I continue studying!

What advice do you have for other women reaching for their dreams?

Don’t try to reach your goal alone. Build a support system and lift other women up, because together we are stronger. Although women are sometimes still looked down upon when going after their dreams, with other women giving support and encouragement, it will make this tough journey a whole lot easier.
