What does being the New Face of Tech mean to you?

It means breaking barriers and proving that anyone, regardless of background, can thrive in the tech world. It’s an opportunity to inspire others, showing them that diversity is a strength, while encouraging more people to pursue careers in technology.

Women are underrepresented in STEAM. How can we change this?

To boost the number of women in STEAM, we should set up mentorship programs and support networks. Encouraging positive role models, hosting inclusive events, and creating diverse workplaces and leadership roles can drive change.

What are some of the challenges you have faced along the way?

As a Hispanic woman in tech, I’ve faced challenges like underrepresentation and stereotypes. Overcoming these hurdles has required extra effort to prove my capabilities, but it has also fueled my determination to succeed and break barriers for others in the field.

How do you stay motivated and focused on your goals?

My family and friends keep me going, and I make the most of my time to work towards my goals. I believe hard work pays off, and that keeps me motivated every day.

How will funding from the 1,000 Dreams Fund and HARMAN help you reach your goals?

The funding will directly support my goals by providing financial assistance for my education, allowing me to overcome barriers and pursue my dreams. This support ensures I can focus on my studies and achieve success without the added stress of financial constraints.
