Everyone deserves access to mentors who can help them navigate what’s next. Whether a student, recent graduate, or early-career professional, the right mentor can provide perspective, encouragement, connections, and guidance when it matters most.
The MentorHER Initiative from 1,000 Dreams Fund connects women and students with professionals through 1:1, 60-minute virtual mentoring sessions, workshops, and events designed to build meaningful connections, confidence, and career-ready skills.
Our vision is bigger than a single mentoring session. Over the next three years, we aim to connect 300,000 women and students with the mentorship, resources, and opportunities they need to build what’s next.
How It Works
Professionals have valuable experience to share, and students and early-career women are eager to learn. MentorHER makes it easy to connect them.
Mentors commit to a one-time, 60-minute 1:1 virtual mentoring session, sharing their experience, insights, and advice with a student or recent graduate.
- STEP 1: Call for Mentors! We invite professionals from our partner companies and organizations, as well as individual professionals, to volunteer as mentors.
- STEP 2: Call for Mentees! Women, students and recent graduates can apply year-round through our rolling application.
- STEP 3: Connect & Learn! Our team pairs each participant with a professional mentor based on their interests and goals, then provides resources to help make the most of their session.
