1,000 Dreams Fund’s BroadcastHER Academy (Powered by Allied Esports and HyperX)
A Fellowship Program for Women in Esports & Gaming
Purpose: 1,000 Dreams Fund and partners Allied Esports and HyperX, want to help fund, educate and uplift the next generation of women interested in pursuing careers in esports and gaming. Our BroadcastHER Academy (Powered by Allied Esports & HyperX) provides a year-long fellowship program opportunity to potential applicants that includes a $1,000 microgrant to help further their education along with a behind-the-scenes look at the esports industry via an all-expense paid trip to the HyperX Arena Las Vegas to spend a day shadowing the Allied Esports team. Additional training and experiential experiences may become available during the year for Fellows. Our fellowship was created to support women including cis women, trans women, trans feminine, and those who face disparities and discrimination in correlation to misogyny and identity.
Guidelines: Each year, 1DF will launch a digital “Challenge”, inviting potential applicants to submit their entry for consideration. Challenge dates are different each year, and potential applicants are encouraged to become a 1DF Member and sign up for our newsletter to stay abreast of launch dates and important program announcements.
Criteria: To be eligible for the Fellowship Program, you must be legal residents of the U.S. and be above the age of 18. Applicants must include an explanation of how the grant would be used. Selection will be based on application contents. We are especially interested in hearing from collegiate women interested in esports industry, whether as competitors, developers or other careers in gaming.
Amount: 10 Fellows will be selected each year.
