A Fellowship Program for Women & Fems in Esports & Gaming
Purpose: 1,000 Dreams Fund and partners HyperX and Resurgens Gaming, the parent company of Ghost Gaming and Skillshot Media, want to help fund, educate and uplift the next generation of fems interested in pursuing careers in esports and gaming. Our fellowship was created to support women including cis women, trans women, trans feminine, and those who face disparities and discrimination in correlation to misogyny and identity.
Our BroadcastHER Academy Fellowship for Women & Fems in Esports & Gaming (Powered by HyperX & Resurgens Gaming) provides a year-long fellowship program opportunity to potential applicants to help further their education. The program provides an experiential learning opportunity via an all-expense paid trip to Games Week Georgia to spend shadowing the Skillshot Media team.
Prizing includes:
- A $500 microgrant from 1,000 Dreams Fund for their career pursuits in gaming
- Travel to Games Week Georgia (including DreamHack Atlanta) to shadow and network!
- Career coaching session with one assigned mentor from a partner
- Products from title sponsor, HyperX
- Additional “pop up” event opportunities with 1DF partners throughout the year
Guidelines: Each year, 1DF will launch applications, inviting potential Fellows to submit their entry for consideration. Application dates are different each year, and potential applicants are encouraged to become a 1DF Member and sign up for our newsletter to stay abreast of launch dates and important program announcements.
Criteria: To be eligible for the Fellowship Program, you must be legal residents of the U.S. and be above the age of 18. Applicants must include an explanation of how the grant would be used. Selection will be based on application contents. We are especially interested in hearing from collegiate women & fems interested in esports industry, whether as competitors, developers or other careers in gaming.
Amount: 5 Fellows will be selected in 2026.
Deadline: April 3rd, 2026 at (11:59PM) midnight EST. Winners will be announced on or by April 30th, 2026.
