We were recognized for our BroadcastHER Initiative and grant programs, which are designed to support women and femmes who are pursuing their dreams in content creation and gaming. Since its launch in 2018, we’ve gone on to provide nearly a half-million dollars in funding, mentorship, and job opportunities for women in gaming and esports!

It was so great to be in the midst of so many incredible people, celebrating and highlighting the remarkable contributions and talents of women in gaming.

1DF founder Christie Garton attended the live awards ceremony along with 1DF Board of Directors Member Mimi Li. They joined many other industry leaders, innovators, and enthusiasts who all came together for a night of recognition, networking, and celebration.

Our work matters. While women represent nearly half of gamers around the world, only 22% of women represent leading roles in esports — and even fewer in esports broadcasting! In fact, there is only ONE woman in the top 500 earners in esports, and, out of the top 100 streamers on Twitch, only ONE was a woman in 2022.

We are so grateful to everyone who believes in the work we do. We owe a MASSIVE thank you to our wonderful community for helping make us YOUR *gamehers Awards 2024 Charitable Organization of the Year!

Without the gaming community, we would not be able to continue to do the work we do to help elevate and uplift women with inspiring dreams.

To everyone and all our partners who support our work year-round, thank you on behalf of everyone at 1,000 Dreams Fund — especially the women we serve! We can’t wait to reach our next goal: over 1 million women served in the U.S. and abroad!
