1,000 Dreams Fund and Colgate-Palmolive are teaming up for an exclusive career development workshop, MentorHER: How To Get Hired, for female students in the U.S. It will be hosted on Colgate Cares Day — Sept. 30 at 1 p.m. EST.

We’re so excited to have Colgate-Palmolive’s team members sharing their advice, experiences, and inspiration with young women from our 1DF network who aspire to have careers in corporate America.

This special workshop is just another way we’re continuing our commitment to our MentorHER Initiative, providing aspirational young women with support and leadership on their career paths.

So, what can you expect during the workshop?

This two-hour workshop will provide exclusive career advice, including:

  • The path to getting hired and tips for what companies are looking for in potential candidates
  • How to stand out during a resume review or interview process
  • Successfully navigating a first job or new position
  • And all the experience and insight from veteran executives!

Anne-Marie Motte: Opening Keynote and Interview

Anne-Marie serves as Vice President and General Manager, Global Toothbrush Division in Global Marketing at Colgate-Palmolive Company, based in New York. She provides leadership for Colgate’s strategy for these categories globally.

Anne-Marie joined Colgate France in 2002 and has held various marketing and general management positions in Europe, Canada, and the U.S. She has led Colgate’s U.S. Oral Care Innovation Center and has served as head of marketing for Colgate Canada. Most recently Anne-Marie was General Manager, Personal Care for Colgate North America, where she led the team to grow the SoftSoap and Irish Spring brands.

Anne-Marie has resided in North America for the past 14 years, is a mother of three, and is a board member of Life Project 4 Youth, an organization that supports young people facing extreme poverty.

Nia Lewis: Getting Hired 101 Workshop

Nia Lewis is a Sr. Specialist on Colgate-Palmolive’s Global Talent Acquisition team, concentrating on campus recruitment and diversity sourcing strategies for the U.S. She is co-chair of Colgate’s New York-based Black Leadership Network.

Before joining Colgate-Palmolive, Nia was a program manager at Leadership for Educational Equity, facilitating leadership development workshops for current and former teachers and equipping them with the skills to become equity-minded civic leaders. Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, Nia is passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion in both her personal and professional life.

She holds an M.A. from Loyola Marymount University, a B.A. from Loyola University Chicago, and a certificate in Diversity and Inclusion for HR from eCornell.
