CELEBRATING PRIDE WITH OUR MENTORHER PARTNER ACCENTURE TO CONNECT LGBTQIA+ STUDENTS WITH MENTORS!

Over the last couple of months, we’ve been working on an amazing new partnership with our MentorHer Initiative to celebrate and facilitate mentorship for our 1,000 Dreams Fund LGBTQIA+ community. And, we’re so excited to announce it now — as we round out the final few days of Pride Month in June!
We’re working with Accenture’s Tri-State Women’s Employee Resource Group and PRIDE Employee Resource Group to match up LGBTQIA+ mentors and mentees for meaningful sessions that we know will make a lasting impact.
With Accenture’s partnership in our MentorHer Initiative, we have another way to connect high-potential young women, and those who identify as women, with life-changing mentors in a one-time, 1:1, 60-minute mentor session.
“In many ways, this process begins by connecting our students with mentors who look like them, hold similar interests, have a common career trajectory, and share a similar background,” says Christie Garton, 1,000 Dreams Fund founder and CEO. “We want to show our students how successful they can be by connecting them with successful, professional mentors that share a similar lived experience — especially for those in our community who identify as LGBTQIA+.”
