It goes without saying that both the arts and the sciences are vital to society, and women need to have a seat at the table. Both disciplines are wildly innovative in their own right — and both give meaning to our world. 1,000 Dreams Fund believes it is important that we support and elevate women in these disciplines, for our present and for our future generations.

That’s the whole mission behind the Paliwal Club of 100. The program, launched in partnership with Ila and Dinesh Paliwal Foundation, is intended to help fuel the dreams of pioneering women in the arts and sciences. We specifically offer two funding programs as part of the Paliwal Club of 100 program:

• The Paliwal Club of 100 STEAM Scholars Fund specifically celebrates driven young women in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math with the intent to help accelerate their progress in school and continued support through their transition into the workforce. Apply here.
• The Paliwal Club of 100 Music Scholars Fund serves the same purpose for young women in music, providing critical funds to those who are pursuing careers in the music industry. Apply here.

Here’s the timeline for our 2023 Paliwal Club of 100 scholarship applications:

• Applications Open Today! Thursday, October 5, 2023
• Application Close: Friday, December 1, 2023
• Winners Notified: Friday, December 15, 2023

We’ll be selecting 10 recipients for the STEAM Scholars Fund and 10 for the Music Scholars Fund — and each recipient will be awarded a $1,000 microgrant. This type of micro-grant helps support life-changing opportunities like conference travel, tech devices, music and art equipment, educational resources, ground-breaking projects, and more. 

We’re so grateful to work with the Ila and Dinesh Paliwal Foundation on these two initiatives. The foundation is dedicated to creating positive social and economic outcomes for worldwide communities and their future leaders while providing both financial and advisory support to underrepresented populations in STEAM and music.

Dinesh Paliwal is the retired chairman and CEO of HARMAN and is a board member of Bristol Myers Squibb, Nestlé, and Raytheon Technologies. Ila Paliwal is an award-winning global recording artist, songwriter, composer, and producer.
