Applications Now Open for 1,000 Dreams Fund’s 2025–2026 Student Advisory Board!

To our rising student leaders, consider these questions…

  • Do you want to make a meaningful impact — while building your leadership skills?
  • Do you want to be part of a close-knit, inspiring network of changemakers?
  • Do you believe in paying it forward for other young women?

If so, we want you to represent your state in 1,000 Dreams Fund’s Student Advisory Board (SAB) for the 2025-2026 school year.

Each year, we select 50 standout students (and recent graduates!) from across the United States to join our SAB. This is a dynamic, mission-driven group that works directly with our 1DF team on everything from scholarship selection to fundraising and creative outreach initiatives that help extend our message and goals.

Recruitment is now open! Apply by Sept. 5.

This special opportunity is more than just a résumé boost — although you’ll definitely get that, too. As a SAB member, you’ll get:

  • Access to our professional advisory board for mentoring, career advice and internship opportunities
  • Opportunities to participate in our scholarship review process — great experience for those interested in serving on boards or working in the non-profit space
  • Event-planning, fundraising, and social media experience
  • Special status calls for board members only
  • Exclusive publishing opportunities
  • Listed on 1,000 Dreams Fund website
  • Professional development
  • And, of course, the chance to positively impact the lives of young women!

We’re passionate about helping young women achieve their dreams — and we know we can’t do it alone. That’s where our incredible SAB comes in.

Whether you’re in high school, college, or graduate school — or even a recent graduate — we encourage you to apply!

Here’s a checklist for success in your SAB application:

  • You are a woman in high school, college, or graduate school — or a recent graduate! — with a passion for helping young women reach their dreams.
  • You have excellent communication skills.
  • You have an active interest in social media.
  • You are interested in fundraising and helping recruit new 1DF members.
  • You are committed to making a difference as exemplified by leadership experiences, community engagement activities, and more.
  • You are able to commit to two semesters, with a monthly commitment of about one to two hours.

Remember, recruitment closes Friday, September 5, 2025, so make sure to apply today!
