Each year, we select standout student leaders (and recent graduates!) from across the United States to join our Student Advisory Board (SAB).

We are constantly inspired by this dynamic, mission-driven group, as they work with our team on everything from scholarship selection to fundraising and creative outreach initiatives, all with the goal of extending 1,000 Dreams Fund’s mission.

For the 2026–2027 school year, we’re excited to announce the return of our Student Advisory Board – creating more opportunities for exceptional young women to join this highly selective leadership community.

What Exactly Is the Student Advisory Board?

The SAB is essentially a leadership program that’s made up of students and recent graduates who believe in the power of education, mentorship, and opportunity.

Throughout the year, Student Advisory Board Members work on initiatives that help expand our impact, including:

• Promoting scholarships, events, and campaigns
• Providing feedback on programs and student needs
• Helping spread awareness of 1DF’s mission on campus and online
• Serving as ambassadors within their schools and communities

Board members also gain valuable nonprofit, marketing, communications, and leadership experience while making connections with peers and extending their personal and professional networks.

Who Should Apply?

We’re looking for students who are passionate, engaged, and excited to help create opportunities for others. Here’s a checklist for success in your SAB application:

• You’re a woman in high school, college, or graduate school – or a recent graduate!
• You’re excited to help grow awareness of our scholarships, programs, and events and help young women reach their dreams.
• You’re creative, collaborative, and dependable with excellent communication skills.
• You have an active interest in social media.
• You’re interested in fundraising and helping recruit new 1DF members.
• You’re committed to making a difference via leadership experiences, community engagement activities, and more.
• You’re able to commit to two semesters, with a monthly time obligation of one to two hours.

You don’t have to check every box; we’re looking for students who are enthusiastic about our mission and eager to make an impact!
