1DF Announces Inaugural ‘MentorHER Day’ 2019, Celebrating the Importance Of Mentorship For Young Women During Week of International Day of the Girl

Have you ever been interested in finding a mentor, but don’t know where to start?

You are not alone! Seventy percent of young women in the U.S. say they do not have a mentor, according to 1DF’s State of the American Girl Research.

But we know that mentors are critical to the advancement of women in the workplace and more. So we want to change that.

We’re excited to be introducing — for the first time ever — the 1,000 Dreams Fund MentorHER Day initiative during the week and in honor of  International Day of the Girl (October 11). Our goal? To connect high-potential high school and college-aged women with high-impact mentors for a 60-minute mentoring session, reinforcing the notion that even a small amount of time can make a big impact — much like our micro-grants.

And, we want you to be there!
