Washington, D.C., October 11, 2024 – 1,000 Dreams Fund (1DF), a leading 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting the career aspirations of women, is excited to announce the launch of the Future Fund: NextGen Women in Web3 on International Day of the Girl 2024. This groundbreaking initiative, designed to drive greater gender diversity in the rapidly evolving Web3, AI, blockchain, and cryptocurrency industries, will offer grants, mentorship, and professional opportunities to women pursuing careers in this space.

1,000 Dreams Fund is calling on all Web3 and AI enthusiasts, crypto leaders, and supporters of women in tech to participate by donating to the fund and amplifying this movement.

Addressing the Diversity Challenge in Web3

1,000 Dreams Fund wholeheartedly believes a diverse and inclusive workforce is essential to its long-term success in the future of Web3. Women remain underrepresented in this burgeoning industry, particularly in technical and leadership roles. The Future Fund aims to change this by providing direct support to talented women eager to break into Web3, ensuring they have the tools and guidance needed to succeed.

Through this program will invite over 100 women to join as fellows. Selected Fellows will receive:

• $1,000 in microgrants to fund their Web3 education and training.
• One-on-one mentorship with leading industry executives.
• Opportunities for internships, apprenticeships, and employment with partner organizations in crypto, blockchain, and related STEAM fields.

“Our mission is to create opportunities for women to not only access but thrive in the Web3 space,” said Christie Garton, Founder of 1,000 Dreams Fund. “The Future Fund will empower women by giving them access to mentorship, resources, and crucial career pathways in a sector where their perspectives and talents are needed.”

With the backing of these industry partners, the Future Fund will launch on International Day of the Girl (October 11, 2024) through International Women’s Day (March 8, 2025) with a goal of raising $150,000 in crypto to fuel this critical programming.
