Equipping the next generation of healthcare leaders is so important in today’s world — and it’s something we don’t take lightly at 1,000 Dreams Fund. There are so many students with big, bold dreams in this vertical and we’re honored to help fuel them.

That’s one of the many reasons we’re thrilled to bring back the Colgate-Palmolive Scholars Program for a third year! 

Created in partnership with Colgate-Palmolive, a caring, innovative growth company that is reimagining a healthier future for all, this scholarship reflects their commitment to making more smiles.

The program has already supported a number of ambitious students in getting one step closer to their healthcare career goals — whether they’re pursuing fields such as dentistry, dermatology, veterinary medicine, data science, or research and development.

This year, nine scholars will be selected, with each receiving a $2,000 scholarship to support their educational journey in healthcare.

Empowering Students in Healthcare

By helping to remove financial barriers, Colgate-Palmolive Scholars Program empowers students to focus on their education, innovative ideas and the communities they’ll one day serve. We’ve been so inspired by our 2024 and 2025 winners — and all that’s in store for their dreams.

“I am deeply grateful for this win,” said Melissa S. — one of our 2025 Colgate-Palmolive Scholars who dreams of being a clinical psychologist. “It will allow me to conduct impactful research on mental health barriers faced by people with disabilities, with the goal of informing interventions such as disability cultural competency training.”

For 2025 recipient Nowshin S., winning the scholarship removed a financial barrier, allowing her to focus more fully on building a career centered on service and impact. Her dream is to become a dentist committed to expanding access to quality oral healthcare for underserved communities. “Through my education and future career, I hope to improve long-term health outcomes, promote equity, and use my platform to create lasting impact in the communities that need it most.”

Sarah G., another recipient from 2025, said the funds will go a long way in helping her attend academic conferences to present her research and make connections. As a fourth year MD-PhD student, her dream is to be a physician-scientist — and she believes “framing ‘dreams’ as ‘plans’ can go a long way.”
