1,000 Dreams Fund Hosts Its First-Ever Executive Roundtable Event in NYC!

The 1DF Team (l to r): Christie Garton, Founder & CEO, with Board Members and Roundtable Co-Chairs Holly Danko and Taylor Martin.
Core to its mission, 1,000 Dreams Fund held its first-event Executive Roundtable Series event on October 30th at Ripple NYC. This intimate event series is aimed at facilitating a meaningful discussion on the unique challenges women face in the workplace and how these obstacles impact the hiring, retention, and promotion of young women. We believe that this dialogue is critical for fostering an inclusive environment that supports the advancement of women and levels the playing field, especially in industries where women are underrepresented.
For our first event, we invited senior executives and HR professionals across industries to gather together and explore the multifaceted challenges women encounter in the workplace, from entry-level positions to executive roles.
Moderated by our event co-chairs and Board of Directors members Taylor Martin and Holly Danko, we discussed actionable strategies to address these challenges, with a focus on creating sustainable pathways for women’s career advancement.
1,000 Dreams Fund also introduced our MentorHER Initiative, which is designed to build a robust pipeline of talented young women into partner organizations.
We were thrilled to have 17 participants at this exclusive roundtable event, where leaders from organizations including Siemens Healthineers, Ripple, Yieldmo, HEC Women in Business Club, HARMAN International, Top Cream / sos sahel, Northwestern University – Kellogg School of Management, The Estee Lauder Companies, Venture Catalyst, LLC, NYU Stern School of Business, and LOOP were all in attendance.
In the mix were CEOs, chairmans, senior vice presidents, and diversity, equity, & inclusion directors — among other esteemed heads of recruiting and more. We’re so grateful to the incredible group in attendance — and to Ripple for hosting us for this important dialogue.
Our Executive Roundtable series will return in 2025 – stay tuned for further announcements!
