1,000 Dreams Fund’s ‘Streams for Dreams’ Charity Fundraiser Launches March 1 with Twitch Women’s Unity Guild!

Our theme for the month of March — Women’s History Month 2024! — is “Dare to Dream.”

Thousands of young women with inspiring dreams from all walks of life across the country apply to our programs each year, including our incredible BroadcastHER Initiative that funds women and femme content creators and gamers. They dare to dream because we dare to dream.

We’re kicking off the month with our annual Streams for Dreams Twitch Charity Fundraiser from Friday, March 1 – Sunday, March 3! This year, we’re teaming up with Twitch Women’s Unity Guild, a Twitch-sponsored and funded initiative with the purpose of creating safe spaces for marginalized creators on the platform, for the FIRST time.

We’re so excited to share that at least 50% of all funds raised during this time will be granted to Twitch Women’s Unity Guild members to help them attend TwitchCon 2024!

“This is one of the most exciting brand partnerships I’ve seen to date!,” says Twitch Women’s Unity Guild leader @ChelseaBytes. “I’m ready to see what dreams are made along with 1DF and Twitch Unity Guilds. We are so proud to help support our fellow streamers and help them along their creative journey.”

“I cannot imagine a more fitting and exciting partnership, since both organizations are so wholeheartedly dedicated to elevating the dreams and goals of broadcasters and gamers who do not benefit from misogyny,” says @Meadow, Twitch Women’s Guild member.

Our ultimate goal? To raise money for our BroadcastHER Grant, which annually awards up to $1,500 to up-and-coming content creators for critical expenses that help them reach their dreams  like hardware upgrades, equipment, or travel to conventions like TwitchCon.

“Our collaboration with the Twitch Women’s Guild on this important fundraiser event opens doors to give back to the creator and streaming community like no other. We are unlocking the potential to elevate guild members through funding for TwitchCon 2024, while also serving up and coming creators who may need critical support on the path to their dreams,” says BroadcastHER Project Manager, Kayla Cooper.

“It only made sense for the Twitch Women’s Guild and 1,000 Dreams Fund to come together for this groundbreaking event,” says @CocoConfession, Twitch Women’s Guild Leader. “We share the same values and goals, which is to uplift and amplify femme voices in the content creation space and help them thrive in traditionally male-dominated spaces.”

Tune into the action all weekend long — but you can also help us support our BroadcastHER Grant by fundraising with us. Also don’t forget that our BroadcastHER Grant application will open later in Spring 2024!
